Speaking of Jerry, he is a not-so-famous Celebrity, stand-up comedian, who is a New York Mets, Superman, and a breakfast cereal fan. Cosmo Kramer is Jerry’s wacky neighbor. The notable things about him are his hairstyle, his vintage clothes, and the sudden sliding bursts through Jerry’s apartment door.
George Costanza has been Jerry’s best friend since high school. He is portrayed as dishonest and also as a person who’s jealous of others’ achievements. And often lies about his profession and relationships and other such things. He uses the alias Art Vandelay when lying about a story. Elaine Benes is the only girl in this group. She is also Jerry’s ex-girlfriend and a friend. Her tendency of being too honest with people because of a short temper often gets her into trouble. She tends to make wrong choices in the men she chooses to date.
Other side characters in this show also play a significant role. Such as Jerry’s nemesis Newman and uncle Leo. The friends got together frequently at Monk’s cafe, some of the workers of the cafe appeared in several episodes, the most prominent being Ruthie Cohen. It also showcases other celebrities who appear as boyfriends, girlfriends and bosses, and other acquaintances in the show.
